DJK Group Human Rights Policy

Recognizing that respect for human rights is one of the essential elements of the DJK Group’s global business activities, our policy is as set out below.

Basic Policy on Human Rights

  • Prohibition of Discrimination
    Under no circumstances shall the DJK Group discriminate on the basis of gender, ethnicity, place of birth, nationality, religion, ideology, age, physical disability, or other personal characteristics.
  • Prohibition of Harassment
    The DJK Group shall not tolerate any form of harassment, including power harassment and sexual harassment.
  • Protection of Privacy
    The DJK Group shall strictly manage the personal information of its officers and employees, and shall not use it for any purpose other than that for which it was originally intended.
  • Workplace Safety
    The DJK Group shall strive to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment and comply with all laws and regulations concerning occupational health and safety.
  • Compliance with Labor-related Laws
    The DJK Group shall comply with labor-related laws and endeavor to maintain a healthy working environment that is attractive and welcoming for all who work there. Management shall not impose any work that requires excessive labor or compel employees to work overtime.
  • Elimination of Forced Labor and Child Labor
    Under no circumstances shall the DJK Group tolerate forced labor or child labor.
  • Freedom of Association and Right to Collective Bargaining
    The DJK Group is committed to respecting the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining in order to achieve an equitable working environment and to ensure both the well-being of employees and the sustainable growth of the DJK Group.

Initiatives for the Respect of Human Rights

  1. Scope of Application
    This policy applies to all officers and employees of the DJK Group.
    The Group also requests its suppliers and other business partners to understand and support this policy. Together with them, the DJK Group strives to fulfill its responsibility to respect human rights.
  2. International Norms and Compliance with Laws and Regulations
    The DJK Group complies with the laws and regulations of each country and region, and adheres to international norms on human rights, including the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, in accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
  3. Implementation of Human Rights Due Diligence
    The DJK Group strives to identify and prevent or mitigate any negative impacts on human rights that may occur or be contributed to through its business activities.
  4. Remedial Measures
    If any negative impacts on human rights occur as a result of the Group’s business activities, the DJK Group shall do its utmost to achieve remedy and remediation through appropriate investigations and procedures.
  5. Education and Raising Awareness
    The DJK Group educates and raises the awareness of all officers and employees about human rights, deepens their understanding of this policy, incorporates it into the Group’s business activities, and strives to cultivate an environment in which human rights violations do not occur.
  6. Dialogue with Stakeholders
    The DJK Group emphasizes dialogue with relevant stakeholders and strengthens its efforts to respect human rights.
  7. Information Disclosure
    The DJK Group discloses information on the status of its implementation of this policy on its website and by other means as appropriate.
  8. Promotion System
    The Sustainability Promotion Committee reports regularly to the Board of Directors on the DJK Group’s initiatives for the respect of human rights in accordance with this policy, and promotes such initiatives backed by the commitment of the Board of Directors.
