DJ-WAVE ENGINEERING, a Group Company of Daiichi Jitsugyo, Marks Its 30th Anniversary
~Through This Collaboration, Daiichi Jitsugyo Accelerates Its Evolution into a Next-Generation Engineering Trading Firm~

Daiichi Jitsugyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and COO: Yuji Funawatari; hereinafter “DJK”) announced that its group company, DJ-WAVE Engineering Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Takumi Seki; hereinafter “DJ-WAVE”), held a ceremony on July 9, 2026 to commemorate its 30th anniversary.

DJ-WAVE was established in 1996 under the name Daiichi Engineering Co., Ltd. as a company engaged in the development, design, manufacture, and maintenance of cogeneration systems and prime mover systems for manufacturing equipment used in the oil and gas, chemical, and other industries. It later expanded into the environmental plant field and has contributed to both industrial development and environmental protection by designing, manufacturing, and delivering treatment facilities for ammonia wastewater and other waste streams generated at factories and plants in Japan and overseas, including those serving semiconductor manufacturers and power utility companies in high-growth sectors.

In 2024, to strengthen the DJK Group’s engineering functions, Daiichi Engineering merged with Wave Engineering Co., Ltd. and Flow Dynamics Co., Ltd., both of which were then consolidated subsidiaries of DJK. In addition to the design and process engineering expertise it had developed over the years, DJ-WAVE expanded its simulation engineering capabilities and strengthened its FS*1 and FEED*2 functions. This has enabled the DJK Group to provide an integrated in-house framework spanning feasibility studies at the concept stage, process simulation, basic design, cost estimation, performance and cost evaluation, and EPC*3.

In recent years, in addition to support for projects related to the Green Innovation Fund and other NEDO-supported programs, DJ-WAVE has received numerous inquiries from customers across a wide range of industries on key themes directly linked to the realization of a decarbonized society, including hydrogen production projects, carbon dioxide capture from the atmosphere, synthetic methane production utilizing woody waste, and ammonia cracking technologies.

Going forward, the DJK Group aims to combine DJ-WAVE’s plant engineering capabilities with DJK’s customer base, procurement strength, and project execution capabilities to contribute to solving social challenges and to pursue sustainable growth and enhanced corporate value.
