Daiichi Jitsugyo Accelerates Sales Expansion in the Data Center Market
~Integrating Technologies to Shorten Power Supply Lead Times and Achieve a PUE Below 1.1~

Daiichi Jitsugyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & COO: Yuji Funawatari, hereinafter “DJK”), a general machinery trading company, is accelerating its sales expansion in the rapidly growing data center (hereinafter “DC”) market amid the widespread adoption of generative artificial intelligence (AI). DJK is advancing the development of integrated systems to address two major challenges facing DC operators, project delays caused by prolonged waits for grid power, and increased heat generation and environmental impact resulting from the higher power consumption of servers. Through partnerships with leading manufacturers in Japan and overseas, DJK will strongly support operators seeking to bring DC facilities online quickly by shortening power supply lead times and proposing next-generation cooling systems designed to achieve a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of below 1.1.

■Unique Power Supply Network
Currently, the bottleneck in the construction of new DCs in Japan is construction delays of several years due to prolonged waits for power grid infrastructure development. DJK addresses these prolonged waits for grid power by providing solutions that leverage its ability to supply power equipment within significantly shorter lead times.
By combining solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), which can utilize existing city gas infrastructure, DJK enables operators to secure an independent power source without relying solely on grid electricity.
In addition, through partnerships with manufacturers across the supply chain and by leveraging its global procurement capabilities, DJK can provide various emergency generators and UPS systems equipped with non-flammable semi-solid-state batteries within shorter lead times. This helps minimize operators’ opportunity losses caused by extended delivery times for backup power equipment and supports the early commencement of DC operations.


■Integrating Liquid-Cooling Technologies to Achieve a PUE Below 1.1
To address the enormous amount of heat generated by AI servers, DJK is strengthening an engineering structure that goes beyond the conventional role of a trading company. DJK has integrated the liquid-cooling piping design and Thermal management technologies of KANNETSU THERMAL ENG. CO., LTD. (hereinafter “Kannetsu”) with high-performance coolant distribution units (CDUs) manufactured by NIDEC CORPORATION (hereinafter “Nidec”). This integrated solution is designed to both reduce power consumption at DCs and efficiently cool high-density servers.
DJK also proposes a hybrid cooling system that combines these advanced liquid-cooling technologies with waste heat recovery technology, enabling effective use of heat generated during power generation. Through the introduction of this system, DJK aims to achieve a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of below 1.1, a world-class performance target, while meeting the needs of DC operators seeking to reduce both environmental impact and operating costs.


■Driving Infrastructure Development as an Engineering Trading Firm
Following its participation in Interop Tokyo 2026, held in June 2026, DJK has begun the full-scale market rollout of these solutions.
DJK is rapidly strengthening its structure to provide integrated support from the design stage through maintenance by combining its proprietary global procurement network with the advanced thermal management technologies of Nidec and Kannetsu.

Kannetsu has built a strong track record in highly precise thermal control technologies that support the core of liquid-cooling infrastructure, including the delivery of thermal testing equipment to Nidec’s mass-production plant for CDUs. Kannetsu has extensive expertise in engineering entire cooling systems, ranging from high-efficiency cooling sources such as chillers and dry coolers to mechanical rooms that centrally manage these systems and complex piping design.
