Daiichi Jitsugyo Jointly Exhibits "DC Link" to Maximize Solar Power Plant Revenues with HOBE ENERGY, a Japanese Energy Storage System (ESS) Manufacturer, and Ampt, a U.S. String Optimizer Manufacturer
Daiichi Jitsugyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yuji Funawatari; hereinafter "DJK"), a machinery solution provider, will exhibit a concept model of "DC Link," a new battery storage connection method designed for solar power plants transitioning to the FIP scheme*1. The exhibition will take place at "ESS - Energy Storage System - World," a special exhibition area within the "SMART GRID EXPO" of the "SMART ENERGY WEEK Autumn," held at Makuhari Messe in Japan from September 9 to September 11, 2026.

“DC Link” is a new connection architecture that allows electricity generated by solar panels to be stored directly as direct current (DC). Compared to the conventional "AC Link", which is commonly installed in the Japanese market today,“DC Link” can make electricity revenue increase by over 10% as well as reduce initial investment costs.
In this concept model, the BMS (Battery Management System) developed by HOBE ENERGY CORPORATION (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kyoichi Okino) enables energy storage systems to support a wide DC voltage range of 400V to 1500V, as well as flexible capacity configurations.
Further, the Ampt String Optimizer from Ampt LLC (Headquarters: Colorado, USA; CEO: Aaron Gomolak) is a DC/DC converter that allows each PV string to operate at the voltage that maximizes generation efficiency while converting and outputting that power to match the required voltage of the storage battery.
With this configuration, DJK proposes solutions based on the "DC Link" concept to address pressing issues faced by solar power plant owners, such as "maximizing power sales revenue" and " curtailment"
In addition to equipment procurement, DJK can provide total solutions that include EPC*2, aggregation*3, and control panel with partners. For plant owners considering FIP scheme,“DC Link” provides clear benefits by improving project profitability and supporting more stable business operations.

*1 FIP (Feed-in Premium) scheme: A support scheme under which a fixed premium is added to the market price of electricity. Because the selling price changes with the market price, power producers need to generate, store, and sell electricity efficiently by using battery energy storage systems to supply electricity when market prices are high.
*2 EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) : A company responsible for the design, procurement, and construction of solar power generation facilities and battery energy storage systems under a single contract.
*3 Aggregation: the optimal operation of batteries in response to electricity market conditions.
