Daiichi Jitsugyo to Exhibit On-Site Power Generation Solution Featuring Bloom Energy SOFC
— A New Option for Addressing Power Shortages and Strengthening Business Continuity —
Daiichi Jitsugyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & COO: Yuji Funawatari, hereinafter “DJK”), a general machinery trading company, is pleased to announce its participation in the “H2 & FC EXPO”, held as part of the 26th SMART ENERGY WEEK [Autumn], one of the world’s largest comprehensive exhibitions for renewable energy. The event will take place at Makuhari Messe from September 9 to September 11, 2026.
At the DJK booth, we will showcase an on-site power generation solution utilizing Bloom Energy's solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology, which has been widely deployed at data centers in the United States.

In recent years, the rapid adoption of generative AI has driven a sharp increase in electricity demand at data centers, semiconductor plants, automated warehouses, logistics facilities, and other sites. At the same time, expanding power infrastructure to keep pace with this growing demand takes time, while grid congestion associated with the increasing deployment of renewable energy and grid-scale battery storage is also a factor. As a result, grid interconnection consultations and power-receiving construction are taking longer, and available power capacity is becoming increasingly constrained. Against this backdrop, lead times to the start of operations are becoming longer. Measures to address power outages caused by natural disasters and the strengthening of business continuity plans (BCPs) have also become important management priorities.
■On-Site Power Generation Using Bloom Energy SOFC
The Bloom Energy SOFC solution proposed by DJK is a distributed power source that generates electricity on-site using city gas as fuel. It can eliminate dependence on grid power through off-grid operation or reduce such dependence by operating in combination with grid power, thereby enhancing the flexibility and resilience of electricity supply. This supports customers’ stable business operations by enabling earlier project start-up and continued operations during power outages.
■Key Benefits
• Continued operation during grid outages and enhanced business continuity
• High availability to support mission-critical facilities
• Earlier revenue generation through accelerated project start-up
• A balance between decarbonization and economic efficiency through high-efficiency power generation
• 24/7/365 remote monitoring and maintenance support
