We will strengthen the foundation of our sustainability management and clearly articulate the purpose of the Group.

Today, we are living in an era of unprecedented uncertainty. As environmental issues driven by climate change accelerate—along with the depletion of global resources and growing instability in ecosystems—companies are increasingly expected to present proactive, concrete solutions and take responsibility for the future. Given that corporate activities are closely linked to the sustainability of society, we must take the lead and act decisively to fulfill our role in addressing these challenges.

The DJK Group has embraced the mission of “Connecting People, Connecting Technology and Enriching the World,” and has worked together with many partners to solve challenges and deliver value to society. This philosophy strongly resonates with the fundamental spirit of sustainability and serves as the foundation for our continued evolution as a next-generation engineering trading company.

As of fiscal 2025, I have been appointed Chief Sustainability Officer, and I feel a strong sense of responsibility and purpose in taking on this important role. With the formulation of our medium-term business plan MT2027—which represents the growth phase of our V2030 growth strategy—we have taken this opportunity to further advance the foundation of our sustainability management and to position it as a Company-wide initiative. We have redefined our material issues as key priorities that are more closely aligned with our business strategy. Through this approach, we aim to accelerate our contributions to addressing social challenges through our business activities. We will also continue working together with our stakeholders to help realize a sustainable future.

Going forward, we will focus on the following three key priorities:

  1. Contributing to the global environment
    With the aim of achieving carbon neutrality, we will actively promote the use of renewable energy and work together with our supply chain partners to reduce environmental impact. To remain a company that coexists harmoniously with the global environment, we will further strengthen our efforts to provide sustainable products and services.
  2. Fostering human capital and promoting diversity
    People are our most important asset. We are committed to developing flexible and adaptable talent while advancing diversity across the organization. By creating a supportive work environment and offering flexible work styles tailored to different life stages, we aim to build an organization where every employee can perform at their best.
  3. Reinforcing social responsibility
    We will deepen our commitment to human rights by endorsing international human rights principles and enhancing our consideration of both environmental and human rights issues in global business operations. We aspire to be a company that continuously creates a positive impact on society through our business activities.
